Product Details

A fiber inspection probe is the handheld tool built to inspect connectors where they live — mated inside a bulkhead adapter or a transceiver cage. Its slim tip enters the port and images the end-face in place, revealing the contamination and defects that cause loss and reflectance faults without unmating the connection. For live systems and dense panels, the probe inspects the exact interface that matters, exactly where a benchtop microscope cannot reach.

Aevumix supplies fiber inspection probes for field and data-center use. Interchangeable tips address common bulkhead and connector types, and clear, well-lit magnification supports pass/fail assessment to IEC 61300-3-35-style criteria. As the first and last step of inspect-clean-inspect, the probe confirms an in-service or panel-mounted connector is clean before it is mated or re-mated — catching the dirty end-faces behind most avoidable faults.

Because the right probe depends on your connectors, bulkhead types and setting, we help you specify the correct unit and tips. Send your connector mix and use case and we will recommend a fiber inspection probe and provide a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

A probe reaches into bulkheads and transceiver ports to inspect mated connectors in place; a benchtop microscope inspects exposed connectors on the bench. The probe covers the field and panel situations a microscope cannot.

Yes. Interchangeable tips address different bulkhead and connector types. Send us your connector mix and we will specify the right tip set.

It inspects the end-face of a connector in a port without unmating neighbouring connections. Follow safe practice for live fiber. Tell us your application for the right configuration.

Pass/fail assessment to IEC 61300-3-35-style criteria based on scratch and contamination size and location. We can recommend a probe suited to your requirements.
